We are looking for a Paralegal / Experienced Legal Secretary to join our Brisbane team, supporting solicitors in personal injury matters. This is a long-term opportunity within a stable and growing national firm where you can make a meaningful impact.
Role Overview
You will provide file management and substantive pre-litigation support to our solicitors, ensuring the smooth running of personal injury matters and contributing directly to the success of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and preparing precedent-based documents
- Preparing and collating briefs to counsel and experts
- Arranging medico-legal and liability expert appointments
- Online searches and requests using CITEC and other State Government sites.
- Preparing chronologies and lists of documents
- Drafting statements of loss and damage
- Managing disclosure processes
- Managing file workflow and task systems
- Calendar Management
- Inquiry management and Appointments
- Supporting lawyers, associates and partners directly
- Training coordination and precedent maintenance
Key Requirements
- Strong knowledge of QLD personal injuries procedures
- Familiar with pre-litigation statutory steps (PPIA/MVA)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Professional communication skills and a client-focused approach.
