POSITION SUMMARY / FACTS

The main responsibilities of this role are to deliver merchandising requirements consistently across the business in Australia and New Zealand to elevate brand & product experiences and optimise store flow and shopability to help increase conversion. This role involves travel and physical attendance when needed.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES

1) Campaign Merchandising

  • Collaborate with the VM Manager to translate the overarching VM strategy into detailed execution plans for each campaign, covering window displays, in store and table merchandising, video assets, and boutique animations.
  • Manage suppliers for artwork production, prop creation, and digital screen installations, ensuring all elements are delivered on time and to brief. Oversee PO creation and invoice management.
  • Prepare Campaign Communication Packs (CCPs) in collaboration with the Retail Marketing Executive.
  • Share VM quantity requirements—including product display needs and VM prop allocations—with the supply chain team.
  • Support and supervise boutique teams during campaign installations, verifying accuracy through photo reviews and in store visits. Update digital screens for designated boutiques and support special window installations.
  • Lead Plan B communications and adjustments as needed to resolve issues or respond to unexpected challenges.

2) New Store Openings & Store Events

  • Prepare prop allocations and artwork printing according to timelines for new and refurbished boutiques.
  • Develop schematics and CCPs to guide store teams and ensure consistent execution. Provide on site setup support when required.
  • Oversee all aspects of pop up merchandising, including layout design, prop and product allocation, print preparation, CCP creation, and installation support.
  • Provide visual merchandising support for store events, conferences, and brand activations to ensure consistent and high impact presentation.

3) Merchandising Guidelines & Brand Elevation

  • Update merchandising schematics and VM quantities with the latest product assortment, adjusting layouts for seasonal priorities (e.g., Christmas).
  • Support VM elevation initiatives for top doors under the direction of the VM Manager.
  • Maintain and update the Store VM Master file to reflect renovations, layout changes, and boutique updates.

4) Props Maintenance & Stock Management

  • Manage monthly prop orders and respond promptly to boutique ad hoc requests for merchandising elements such as ticketing or missing props.
  • Regularly monitor warehouse and back room stock levels, coordinating backup as needed.
  • Maintain updated status lists for campaign and permanent VM props and communicate this information to boutiques for each campaign.

5) Basic Artwork & Graphic Adaptation

  • Adjust or modify artwork using appropriate design software.
  • Adapt price tickets for the NZ market and localise international or regional templates with locally relevant copy where required.

  1. Strong Organisation Skill – to manage schedules for multiple projects and multiple supplier.
  2. Strong Communicator – to present a merchandising plan to boutiques to ensure execution in excellence, understand and be able to manage multiple stakeholder’s needs
  3. Attention to Detail – lead execution with 100% accuracy
  4. Guest-centric, Store-centric solution maker – able to provide solutions based on customer needs at a boutique level
  5. Self-motivator for innovation
  6. Basic merchandising skills
  7. Business and financial awareness – be in line with a business objective, ROI conscious, and business result conscious
  8. Understand the importance of sustainability and be able to execute or amplify it
  9. Basic graphic design skill – able to use adobe photoshop and in-design.
  10. Agility and Flexibility

POSITION PRE-REQUISITES – PERSON SPECIFICATION

(eg qualifications, experience etc.)

  1. Previous VM experience preferred for 2+ years
  2. Previous retail experience preferred.
  3. PC Skills – Superior knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)
  4. Proven written and oral skills.
  5. Ability to be detail conscious.
