Lime Rainbow is a registered NDIS provider delivering high-quality, person-centred, individualised supports across accommodation (STA, MTA & SIL) and community settings (. We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable female Disability Support Workers to join our casual team, supporting participants across the Nepean region and the Blue Mountains.

Due to participant support and personal care requirements, this role requires female support workers.

About the Role

You will provide safe, respectful, and individualised support to participants accessing Short Term Accommodation (STA), Medium Term Accommodation (MTA), and community-based supports under the NDIS.

Shifts are available across day, afternoon, weekend, overnight (inactive sleepovers), and public holidays.

Applicants with broader availability may be prioritised in line with participant needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participant Support
  • Provide individualised daily living supports, including personal care, mealtime assistance, emotional regulation, and communication support
  • Support participants to access the community, appointments, and social opportunities in line with their goals
  • Implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and Positive Behaviour Support strategies using least restrictive practices
  • Maintain a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and person-centred approach
  • Overnight Support (where applicable)
  • Provide overnight supervision and respond to behavioural or medical needs as required
  • Complete safety checks, night logs, and incident documentation
  • Ensure participant comfort, dignity, and privacy at all times

Communication & Documentation

  • Accurately complete daily progress notes, incident reports, and data collection requirements
  • Communicate promptly with Team Leaders, Behaviour Support Practitioners, and families regarding incidents or changes in presentation
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold Lime Rainbow’s safeguarding and child-safe practices

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow medication, infection control, and emergency response procedures
  • Identify and report hazards, risks, and incidents in line with NDIS Practice Standards
  • Participate in mandatory and ongoing training

Team Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with support workers, practitioners, and allied health professionals
  • Participate in supervision and reflective practice
  • Contribute positively to Lime Rainbow’s inclusive and respectful team culture

Locations

You must be willing to travel across:

📍 Nepean and Surroundings region

📍 Blue Mountains (including Katoomba and surrounding areas)

Mandatory Requirements (or willingness to obtain)

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Working With Children Check (Paid Worker)
  • National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation & Induction Modules
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Smartphone with internet access

Desirable Experience

Previous experience as a Disability Support Worker

Confidence with personal care, in-home supports, and community access

Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans
