The role:
We are seeking Education and Care Practitioners to join our Penna Road Education and Care Service. This is your opportunity to join a dedicated team to deliver a quality play-based program for children’s development in Long Day Care.

In this role, you will:
- Uphold the safety, rights and wellbeing of all children and promote a culture of child safety with a zero-tolerance approach to child maltreatment, abuse and neglect.
- Provide meaningful and age-appropriate learning experiences that nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, and growth.
- Actively supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
- Create engaging and welcoming room setups that promote exploration and learning
- Document and reflect on children’s learning and development
- Collaborate with families to build strong partnerships, share insights about children’s learning, and ensure continuity between home and the service.
- Commit to your own professional growth and development
- Always work in line with Lady Gowrie Tasmania’s policies, procedures, and the National Quality Framework

What you’ll bring:
- An ACECQA-approved Certificate III Education and care.
- Previous experience in a similar role and a demonstrated strong commitment to child safety
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, with willingness to learn and apply the Early Years Learning Framework
- A current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People (child-related activity – childcare services)
