Key Responsibilities:
As an MC Local Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of freight between various locations. This includes:
- Loading and unloading freight while ensuring weight and dimension limits are met;
- Securing loads in line with load restraint guidelines;
- Accurate record-keeping of declarations, fatigue hours, and pre-start checks;
- Operating within WA road laws and company policies to ensure safety and compliance;
- Maintaining clean and well-kept vehicles and equipment.
Requirements:
- Heavy Combination or Multi-Combination Driver’s Licence (WA), with proven experience driving in a similar role (minimum 6 months);
- Full Australian Work Rights;
- WA Fatigue Management Certificate;
- Load Restraint Certificate (or willing to obtain) and strong understanding of compliance requirements;
- Dangerous Goods Licence and knowledge (preferred);
- HRWL (Forklift) (preferred);
- National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months from start date);
- Experience with MTData, or similar software, for logging trips, faults, and fuel usage;
- Excellent time management and knowledge of Perth Metro area and designated routes;
- Successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, and driving assessment.
