About the Role
The Senior Engineer will play a key role in supporting clients to model complex systems using the Kompozition Platform. You will help clients understand and improve their operations, build high-quality models, and translate complex information into actionable engineering artefacts.
This role is ideal for a technically minded professional with 10+ years of engineering experience who enjoys working with customers, facilitating workshops, and applying systems thinking in fast-paced environments. Defence or Federal Government experience is highly desirable.

What You’ll Do \ Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Support
- Onboard, train, and enable client teams in the Kompozition platform.
- Facilitate workshops to help clients capture intent, define objectives, and structure information.
- Support clients in developing, validating, and maintaining system models.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Kompozition’s internal teams to ensure client adoption, satisfaction, and retention.
- Act as the client voice internally by sharing insights with Kompozition’s internal teams.
- Track and report client progress against agreed outcomes.
Digital Engineering & Modelling
- Create digital system models and generate artefacts such as needs, requirements, tests, and workflows.
- Apply systems thinking to understand complex interfaces, data flows, and operational scenarios.
- Analyse technical documentation to derive requirements and identify key system behaviours.
- Establish and maintain traceability from business goals to engineering artefacts.
- Solve complex modelling challenges and contribute to improving modelling methods and platform capabilities.
Consulting & Technical Leadership
- Lead requirements analysis, business process reviews, and system definition activities.
- Represent requirements using diagrams, scenarios, or prototypes where appropriate.
- Conduct impact analysis, manage requirement changes, and maintain documentation quality.
- Support client engineering, testing, and development teams by clarifying requirements and ensuring alignment.
- Contribute to developing internal knowledge bases, playbooks, and training materials
Essential Requirements
- Australian Citizenship (due to government & Defence-related work)
- The successful candidate must hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance
- Qualifications and/or experience in a STEM-related field (e.g. Engineering, IT/ Programming, Technical Analysis)
