Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Draftsperson to join our engineering team in Sydney. This permanent, full-time position is crucial for the development and execution of high-quality civil and structural designs. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and contributing to innovative engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and revise steel detailing, shop/fabrication drawings, and connection details using CAD/BIM software.
- Develop concrete detailing for reinforced elements like slabs, beams, columns, and footings.
- Document timber design layouts, framing, and connections compliant with Australian Standards.
- Check drawings for accuracy, produce bills of materials, and manage revisions per QA/QC processes.
- Liaise with engineers, fabricators, and site teams to interpret specs and resolve issues
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years experience in civil/structural drafting with proven expertise in steel detailing, fabrication drawings, timber design, and concrete details.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD** (2D/3D); experience with Revit, Tekla, or Advance Steel highly desirable.
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
- Experience in storm water drainage detailing is a must
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g., AS/NZS for steel fabrication, concrete, and timber
- BIM modeling and 3D detailing experience (Desirable)
- Familiarity with project delivery in Sydney/NSW construction market (Desirable)
