Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Operator to support our manufacturing operations. This role involves operating semi-automatic and fully automatic machinery to produce gaskets, gland packing, and other sealing products. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will ensure product quality, maintain safety standards, and contribute to a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain production machines, including cutting, winding, stamping, grinding, and welding equipment.
• Conduct pre-start checks, monitor machinery for faults, and perform routine maintenance as directed.
• Accurately document job process data using the Epicor system.
• Ensure high standards of safety by reporting hazards, wearing PPE, and following all safety protocols.
• Assist with packing, labelling, and inventory stocking.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest business improvements.
• Keep the workspace organized and adhere to daily housekeeping standards.
Skills & Requirements:
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred but not essential).
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to be multi-skilled and work in various production areas
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
