About the Role

As our Financial Accountant, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial accounting across the Keystone Group, ensuring accurate recording, reporting, and compliance of financial information. Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager, you will play a key role in month-end processes, statutory reporting, financial analysis, and maintaining strong financial controls across multiple entities. You’ll partner with business leaders to provide insights into performance, support decision-making, and contribute to continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the year end audit and tax return preparation and prepare annual financial statements
  • Prepare accurate and timely month-end financial reports with variance analysis and commentary 
  • Manage tax and broader compliance obligations including BAS, FBT, payroll tax, superannuation
  • Manage core accounting functions including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and lease accounting  
  • Prepare cashflow reporting and forecasting
  • Oversee and support AP workflow, general ledger integrity, system integrations, and process improvements

 

About You

  • CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar position within a construction or multi-entity business
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights
  • Experience working with large data sets, with strong Excel skills and exposure to PowerBI
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and resilient, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
