Disability Support Worker – Goonellabah

Summary:

Join our dedicated team as a Disability Support Worker in Lismore. You will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support clients in developing and achieving their personal goals and aspirations.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance clients’ well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Encourage social interaction and participation in community activities.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and organisational policies.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in disability support.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient approach to care.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
