About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and people-focused Senior Lecturer to join the Games and Animation department in a role centred on student support, mentorship, and teaching.

The primary focus of this role is being a visible, approachable presence for students, and someone they can genuinely rely on. You will take an active interest in student wellbeing and progress, identifying those who may be struggling and making sure they feel supported throughout their studies. A real commitment to student outcomes and a belief that every student deserves to be seen and heard is at the heart of what we’re looking for.

You will also contribute to teaching within your area of specialist expertise. We welcome applicants from any of the core disciplines taught within our department; game design and development, animation and related asset creation fields (2D or 3D), illustration and production art. We value both industry practitioners and those with an academic background equally. What matters is that you bring genuine craft knowledge, real-world relevance, and the ability to inspire students in your field.

Alongside this, you’ll be someone who is well organised and happy to roll their sleeves up when it comes to the operational side of things, supporting the Head of Department with administrative tasks and workflows as needed.

If you are warm, dependable, and genuinely motivated by helping students thrive, we would love to hear from you.
