Role Summary
The role will assist and manage the flawless execution of our national events and partnership activities. This role supports events across all JMC Academy campuses, involving regular collaboration with events staff at each location. This includes leading the end-to-end delivery of events, from concept, briefing, stakeholder management through to execution, and post reporting. The position works closely with Academic, Sales, Student Services, Facilities, Senior Stakeholders, Student Ambassadors, Partners, and Suppliers, to bring JMC events to life. The successful candidate will help deliver events that reflect JMC’s inclusive, student-centered values and creative industry focus. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced events professional to step into a high-impact role within a collaborative and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management:
- Support the planning and execution of national events and partnership activities to ensure smooth delivery.
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, by leading the end-to-end coordination, from initial scoping and briefing, through to execution, and post-production requirements. This will include the budget, event briefs, meeting agendas and minutes, runsheet, staffing, suppliers, pre-production, bump in and bump out, onsite delivery, attendee support, issue resolution, and post-event evaluation and reporting.
- Act as on-site lead for select events
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with students, staff, alumni, industry partners, and vendors to build strong event relationships.
- Participate in post-event production with collating feedback and data for event evaluation, presenting findings to key stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.
- May require some work outside standard business hours.
Coordination of Resources:
- Work closely with internal and external teams to coordinate the event logistics, including marketing materials, merchandise, and equipment.
- Coordinate, brief and supervise student ambassadors, volunteers, contractors and staff resources to support the onsite execution.
Vendor Coordination:
- Collaborate with vendors to gather quotes, manage supplies, ensure timely delivery, and help troubleshoot on-site issues.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate and brief the Marketing Team, Academic, Sales, Student Services, Facilities, Senior Stakeholders, Student Ambassadors, Partners, and Suppliers.
- Work with the marketing and recruitment teams to ensure successful event promotion and engagement.
Administrative Support:
- Supporting the events administration process, including ticketing build and RSVP management, developing runsheets, event briefs, design briefs, presentations, collating event feedback surveys and post reports.
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all events comply with health and safety, risk management, and campus access protocols
Key Attributes and Experience

Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of event and partnership management experience in a similar events coordination role.

Qualifications: Relevant qualification in event management or equivalent experience preferred.

Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively. Ability to easily build rapport and work across diverse teams and cultures, including students, staff, and external partners, and confident with executives and sponsors.

Project Management: Experience in managing event logistics, including working with event teams and external vendors.

Problem-solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues calmly and professional in real time.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours as required, including evenings or weekends.

Tech-Savvy: Comfortable working with event management software, Microsoft Office tools and Canva.

Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects at once.

Creative Mindset: Understanding of creative industries and a passion for delivering innovative events.

Compliance: Knowledge of health, safety, and risk management relevant to public events.

Desirable Skills:
- Experience with virtual or hybrid event delivery.
- Familiarity with event evaluation/reporting tools.
- Previous experience in education, student engagement, or the creative sector.
