Job Summary:

The Project Officer is to provide primary support to the project manager on all aspects of project and contract administration – including procurement, project delivery, safety & compliance, budget/program control and handover. The position is reporting to the Operations Manager and Project Manager(s). The position is foundational role for progression into a project management role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Request for quotes and thorough comparison of all materials and labour quotes. Provide selection of sub-contractors and suppliers based on accurate comparison to Project Manager for approval.
  • Assist project manager in managing all contracts administration work including establishing contracts for and liaising with sub-trades, clients and other parties via construction management program (CMP).
  • Assist Project Manager with site safety inductions and inspections, compile site safety folders and oversee WH&S management of reports and processes for on-site workers. Including preparing the combined WHSEQ plan, SWMS, ITPS and other associated documents.
  • Assist Project Manager to ensure daily site inspections and undertake major site inspections including all ITP’s, defects and handover.
  • Ensuring legal compliance with maintaining records and document control.
  • All office administrative tasks related to construction works including data entry, word processing, filing and systems maintenance. Including creation of operation manuals, compulsory reporting (IEOP & TPAS).
  • Assist project manager in preparing of internal reports and documents including – Cost Plans.
  • Establishing and monitoring project schedules and budgets through use of computerised programs including Microsoft Projects, simPRO and Procore.
  • Assist in ensuring design and construction compliance and adherence to BCA/NCC and AS.
  • Support senior management in any workplace capacity required.
