About the role
As the Service Manager of Jabiru Narangba, you will have an opportunity to lead this 180 place service while building positive relationships with the children and their families, your staff, and the broader school community. With the support from senior leadership, and the assistance of two Assistant Coordinators (Assistant Service Managers), together, you will lead a dedicated team across before and after school care during the hours of 6:00am – 8:45am and 3:00pm – 6:00pm, and during vacation care (6:00am – 6:00pm). Together you will continue to create engaging, inclusive activities that foster children’s learning, development, and wellbeing to bring out their best, in well facilitated OSHC spaces, where the children thrive.
About you
Your experience and love of organising, planning and mentoring, will mean you can hit the ground running to ensure the smooth management of the service that provides children and their families our best support. You are someone who wants to make a difference and using your creative flair, will work with your team to develop and implement high quality programs that allow our children to have fun and learn in a safe, nurturing and supportive environment. With our support, you will have responsibility for making sure the service is compliant with relevant regulations and standards, and manage financial planning and budgets for the service.
You will have the following qualifications or be studying toward:
- Completed Diploma in Outside School Hours Care or Early Childhood Education and Care
- 2-year full time equivalent in studying any of the following qualifications: Primary, Secondary or Special Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diversional Therapy, Speech Pathology, Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Drama, Music, Sport and Recreational
- Current Blue Card, First Aid & CPR or willing to obtain
- Completed CHCPRT025, CHCPRT001, CHCPRT026, CHCPRT002 and CHCECE057 training
- Previous experience working with diverse communities is an asset
