The Opportunity

We are searching for skilled Fibre Technicians to join our growing team in Sydney. Work is based in leading Data Centres located in Eastern Creek and the new facility being built at Marsden Park – the Southern Hemisphere’s largest facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Be an experienced Fibre Technician working in Tier 1 Data Centres
• Fusion Splicing of Singlemode & Multimode Fibre Optics
• Installation of Pre-Terminated Fibre Cabling Systems
• Fibre Testing using Fluke & OTDR Equipment including analysing test results
• Fault Finding and remediation of Fibre Cabling Systems
• Rack dressing, patching and labelling
• Interpreting drawings, fibre cabling layouts and scope documentation
• Working inside live Data Centres and Secure Environments

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Fibre Technician in Data Centre Environments
• Strong fusion splicing and fibre testing capability
• Experience with pre-terminated fibre solutions
• High attention to detail and quality assurance
• Understanding of Data Centres and best practices
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Experience with Ribbon Fibre Cable is desirable
• Experience in Defence or Secure Environments (highly regarded)
