Accounts Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team in Corbould Park, Queensland. This entry-level position is crucial for supporting our financial operations within the building and construction industry. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments, contributing to the overall efficiency of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices and payments
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support the accounts team in daily financial operations
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end closing
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports as required
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in finance or accounting is a plus
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
