Reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships and client acquisition efforts, driving iNGENu CRO’s business growth and expansion, while fostering relationships with key stakeholders and identifying new opportunities in the CRO space.

Responsibilities:

  • Together with the Chief Revenue Officer, develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue growth targets for the iNGENu CRO.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to expand the iNGENu’s client portfolio.
  • Work closely with Revenue Operations Manager to drive business development activities.
  • Identify and attend relevant conferences and events across the Oceania, APAC and North American region to build client leads.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations to promote the company’s services and capabilities.
  • Leading and participating in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to close new business deals.
  • Collaborating with iNGENu’s internal teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure that proposals and contracts are aligned with the company’s capabilities and meet the client’s needs.
  • Developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and sales targets to measure progress and ensure that the business development strategy is successful.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform the business development strategy.
  • Leading and managing a team of business development professionals to support the growth of the company.
  • Ensuring that all business development activities are conducted ethically and in accordance with company policies and industry standards.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences, business, or related field; an advanced degree (Masters or MBA) is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 4 years in business development or sales role in a CRO organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the clinical research process, including regulatory guidelines and best practices.
  • Strong network of contacts within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, with a demonstrable ability to convert leads into successful business partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a self-driven and results-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive, creative problem solver with a keen eye for identifying opportunities and overcoming challenges.
  • Experience in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage the sales process effectively.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed.
