Settlements Officer – Property Developments
Infinity Group Australia
Are you the kind of operator who takes settlement deadlines personally?
Not because someone’s checking — but because you know exactly what happens when they’re missed: penalties, frustrated developers, internal chaos, and deals blowing up at the last minute.
At Infinity, this role exists because settlement execution matters.
We’re a high-growth financial services business that doesn’t operate like a bank. We help everyday Australians pay off their home loans decades earlier and build long‑term wealth — and that promise only holds if settlements are managed with precision, urgency and ownership.
This role is for someone who thrives in pressure, enjoys real responsibility, and wants to own outcomes — not just tasks.

The Opportunity
Infinity manages lending at serious scale, including large residential and development pipelines. Some months involve hundreds of settlements, all with real deadlines and real consequences.
Each Settlements Officer is allocated entire developments to manage — meaning you own the pipeline, the key dates, the risks and the outcomes for those projects.
If this role didn’t exist, Infinity and our clients would be exposed to risk, unhappy developers and broken trust.
If it’s done well, everything runs clean, on time, and with confidence.
This is a hands‑on, high‑volume role for someone who takes pride in precision and pace.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
You’ll be responsible for ensuring property settlements are facilitated as seamlessly as possible for all relevant parties, with A+ communication throughout.
This includes:
- Managing the settlement inbox and actioning tasks efficiently
- Managing the valuations and providing relevant instructions/assistance to the finance team
- Tracking settlement dates, conditions and extensions
- Monitoring settlement pipelines from 90 days out through to completion
- Reviewing solicitor reports and identifying upcoming finance or settlement risks
- Liaising with lawyers, builders, developers, valuers, BDMs and internal teams
- Supporting brokers and finance teams to ensure files are prepared and lodged correctly
- Escalating and resolving settlement or finance issues before they become delays
- Preparing and providing settlement and finance status updates to external stakeholders
- Reviewing “red alert” files weekly to ensure actions are completed on time
Settlement deadlines are often hard 5pm cut‑offs, so resilience, prioritisation and calm decision‑making are essential.
Who This Role Is For
This role is not suitable for entry‑level candidates.
It’s designed for someone who:
- Has 2–3+ years’ experience in settlements, conveyancing, broker support, finance coordination or similar
- Has some hands‑on finance experience (mandatory) and understands the lending‑to‑settlement process
- Is confident managing volume and competing priorities
- Communicates clearly with senior external stakeholders
- Thrives in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments
- Takes ownership and doesn’t clock‑watch
A background in conveyancing or broker support is highly regarded.
