Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised, and detail-oriented Paraplanner to join our team. The Paraplanner will be responsible for assisting financial advisors in creating financial plans for clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial planning concepts and be able to work collaboratively with advisors. An understanding of the profit to member superannuation philosophy and individual client funds’ services and position within the industry superannuation network would be an advantage.
The Opportunity
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Gain exposure and work with a number of different Industry Funds Clients
- Work closely with Financial Advisors from relevant funds to develop accurate and holistic Statements of Advice.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver efficient service to clients.
- Participate in peer audit process to help improve or maintain knowledge and compliance within the team.
The successful applicant will have:
- Completed or partially completed a Graduate Certificate of Financial Planning, or relevant tertiary qualification
- Relevant tertiary qualifications are also considered an advantage.
- If required, be willing to undertake further study to ensure compliance with the Financial Advice Standards and Ethics Committee (FASEA).
- Previous experience in working as a paraplanner with a Financial Planning practice
- A high level of communication and numeracy skills
- A strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
- The ability to relate to and work consultatively with colleagues at all levels
- Superior analytical and conceptual skills
- The ability to synthesise information in a clear, succinct manner
- High attention to detail is essential
- Knowledge of Xplan
