Type: Full-time, approximately 12 months, with the possibility of extension

Working Hours: Full-time – 38hrs per week

The Role – What you’ll Do:

- Work directly with young people on-site and through outreach programs to provide AOD education and support across the Midland community.
- Deliver AOD information, resources, and capacity-building support to internal staff, external service providers, and the broader community.
- Participate in AOD and mental health sector working groups, consortiums, and collaborative initiatives.
- Develop and maintain formal partnerships with other AOD and/or mental health services to enhance support for young people.
What you bring:
- A heart for social justice, a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable people.
- Relevant qualifications/experience in [housing, community services, social work, youth work, counselling, etc.]
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of trauma informed practice, cultural safety, and the importance of dignity, respect and empowerment.
- Certificate III or IV in a relevant field such as AOD, Mental Health, Community Services, Youth Work or Peer Worker certification.
- Two to three years’ relevant experience working with young people.
- Current National Police Clearance, Working with Children Clearance, First Aid (or willingness to obtain one), and valid driver’s licence.
