About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mobilisation Officer to lead the mobilisation and operational delivery of Bus transport shutdown activities across Tier 1 mining clients. Based in Perth, this role plays a critical part in ensuring drivers, vehicles, and logistics are mobilised safely, compliantly, and on schedule during fast-paced shutdown periods. This is a hands-on, operational role requiring strong coordination capability, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to change. You will work closely with clients, drivers, and internal teams, with periodic travel to site and availability during shutdown windows, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Shutdown Coordination & Operations

  • Lead end-to-end mobilisation of Bus transport shutdown drivers, with accountability for planning, scheduling, readiness, and execution.
  • Coordinate rosters and resource allocation using client systems and internal scheduling tools.
  • Liaise closely with client site schedulers to meet mobilisation requirements and respond to live changes.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodation, and site access arrangements for shutdown personnel.
  • Act as the primary logistics contact during shutdown periods, resolving operational issues in real time.
  • Support on-site shutdown operations as required, ensuring smooth delivery and workforce coordination.
  • Oversee bus mobilisation and demobilisation activities.
  • Provide additional operational support during shutdown periods to maintain continuity.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure mobilisation activities are delivered in full compliance with company and site safety standards.
  • Communicate safety and compliance requirements clearly to all personnel prior to mobilisation.
  • Champion a zero-harm safety culture across all operations.
  • Ensure all staff and stakeholders are treated with respect, professionalism, and cultural awareness.

Stakeholder & Team Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, drivers, and internal teams.
  • Communicate clearly around schedules, expectations, and changes.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Support

  • Assist with shutdown reporting, close-out processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support HR-related activities including onboarding, inductions, and qualification / compliance tracking.
  • Provide operational scheduling support as required.
  • Travel to site when needed to provide hands-on support during shutdowns.

About You

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in shutdown mobilisation, transport coordination or logistics within mining or FIFO environments is preferred.
  • Strong organisational, scheduling, and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to last-minute changes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
  • Confident stakeholder engagement skills across operational and client-facing environments.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and operational scheduling systems.
