About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead the WHS function across both Hyegrove and Hyecare. This role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, and overseeing injury management and return-to-work programs.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic advice, lead change management initiatives, and ensure the continuous improvement of our WHS systems and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement WHS strategies aligned with organisational goals.

Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.

Lead and mentor the WHS team, while supporting managers across departments.

Manage workplace risk assessments, audits, and the WHS framework.

Maintain and review emergency and disaster management procedures.

Oversee injury management and rehabilitation programs, including WorkCover claims.

Foster a safe, respectful, and harassment-free workplace culture.

Drive continuous improvement of WHS systems, policies, and practices.

About You

Tertiary qualifications in WHS (or related discipline) with at least 5 years’ experience in a WHS Manager role.

Experience in aged care, health care-related services, or Retirement Living is highly regarded.

Comprehensive knowledge of WHS legislation, hazard analysis, and risk management.

Strong background in injury management, WorkCover, and return-to-work processes.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.

Proven ability to implement organisational safety initiatives and manage change.
