How you will make a difference
We are offering multiple full-time and part-time (min 0.6FTE) positions across various programs for Social Workers passionate about supporting people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
You will provide case management support, advocacy, risk management and referrals when necessary with a focus on empowerment and improved social inclusion for clients to be equipped for participation in the wider community. As a Hutt St Centre Social Worker, you will be responsible for
working collaboratively with individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness with appropriate ongoing support and manage crisis when they occur.
One of the positions on offer will be case managing clients who are over the age of 50 years, or 45 years for those who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, supporting with Towards Home Alliance and Hutt St Centre including a duty response within our Wellbeing Centre.
These position will be offered on a fixed-term contract basis until 30 June 2027.
About you
The ideal candidates will be experienced in working in a collaborative, client-facing team with excellent administration, team-work, time-management, and communication skills. You will
display flexibility in response to changing priorities with the ability to establish and maintain strong links with stakeholders.
Your client-centred approach will be at the forefront of everything you do along with excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will have a tertiary qualification in Social Work along with relevant experience.
You must have, or be willing to obtain both a satisfactory National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check and a current drivers licence.
