We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Communications Coordinator to help tell these stories, grow our supporter base, and strengthen our voice across the community.

About the role

This is a dynamic and hands-on role where you’ll work across internal and external communications to elevate Hutt St Centre’s profile and impact.

 

You’ll create compelling content, support fundraising campaigns, and ensure our messaging connects authentically with diverse audiences — from donors and partners to the broader community.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Develop engaging content across digital, social, and traditional channels
  • Support integrated fundraising campaigns with consistent messaging
  • Create powerful storytelling content including client stories, video, and social media
  • Assist with internal communications including newsletters and updates
  • Contribute to CEO briefings, speeches, and key messaging

 

About you

You’re a strong communicator who can connect with people authentically and translate stories into impact.

 

You will bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience in communications, marketing, PR or similar
  • Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building ability
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills

 

Highly regarded but not essential:

  • Experience in the not-for-profit or fundraising sector
  • A genuine passion for social impact

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in communications, marketing, journalism or similar
  • National Police Clearance
  • DHS Working with Children Check
  • Valid driver’s licence
