Position Summary
You will be a multifaceted IT professional with software implementation experience as well as responsible for the administration, monitoring and maintenance of software infrastructures and applications.
As an Application Analyst, you will oversee practices and processes to ensure integrity, safety and availability of all data and applications as part of Human Appeal’s information systems. You will make sure that the processes needed for a business to function and succeed are running smoothly, acting as a technical point of contact to fix application and systems issues – usually on an immediate basis.
This unique role will allow you to experience broad responsibilities across a major CRM project and grow your portfolio of skills.
The role will be pivotal in the delivery of Human Appeal’s Enterprise CRM rollout and Digital Transformation Program.
Role and Responsibilities
• Communicate effectively with internal and external teams to understand and resolve application issues and elicit new requirements with a view of translating to existing and
new application features.
• Providing technical support for web, desktop or mobile applications
• Lead the setup and configuration of key systems, including but not limited to the CRM and online platforms to aid in the delivery of effective solutions
• Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new and existing applications
• Migration and deployment of applications and websites
• Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
• Develop technical and functional specification documents to accurately represent application design / code
• Design creative solutions according to self-documented & approved specifications, write high quality source code to develop applications within deadlines as well as perform
unit and integration testing.
• Requirements gathering, documentation and solution design across system and reporting areas
• Provide system support and staff training to ensure staff are using the systems effectively
• Analysis and diagnosis of application errors
• Testing and implementation of new applications, including creating Test Cases, training of test team, and assisting users to complete and report on testing outcomes.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology or a similar field.
- Must demonstrate experience in each of the responsibilities and competencies listed above.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Application Support, Software Development, Business Analyst, or similar roles.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with the following:
- One or more Enterprise CRM systems – experience with Blackbaud CRM™ (BBCRM) and Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge™ would be a distinct advantage.
- Relational databases and solid SQL skills
- Software development
- Analysis and design skills
- Software testing
- Scrum, Kanban or similar methodologies
- Excellent command of written and spoken communication in the English language.
- Experience in engaging stakeholders and developing relationships
- Ability to operate autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Proven solid professional experience in a medium to large organisations
- Experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable.
