Longreach Tourist Park is a key accommodation provider within Longreach, the home of Qantas Founder’s Museum, Stockman’s Hall of Fame, Outback Pioneers and Outback Aussie Tours, The Spirit of the Outback, Longreach Powerhouse and Historical Museum and the natural attractions of the Thomson River, Lochern National Park and Iningai Nature Reserve. Longreach Tourist Park is a true outback experience, full of colourful characters promoting Longreach and the Queensland Outback. Longreach Tourist Park is located less than 2km from the centre of town and Longreach Historical Railway Station. Longreach Tourist Park offers a range of accommodation and facilities to suit every family. We are currently looking for a Full Time Accommodation Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee front office operations including reservations, arrivals and departures
  • Lead and support the reception team to deliver a high standard of service
  • Ensure daily reconciliations, cash handling, and data entry are accurate and timely
  • Manage customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally
  • Lead the Housekeeping Department to ensure seamless operations and exceptional cleanliness.
  • Develop, manage, and adjust staff rosters to align with business forecasts, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Supervise and assign tasks to housekeeping staff, ensuring all rooms and public spaces meet high standards.
  • Conduct pre-arrival inspections to verify that all areas reflect the expected level of cleanliness and presentation and are ready for guest arrivals.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, ensuring timely procurement and cost control.
  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations and collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, to meet property cleanliness requirements.
  • Assist with the cleaning of accommodation as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality, tourism or accommodation role (holiday parks, hotels, resorts, or similar)
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to support and motivate a team
  • Reservation System Experience e.g., Newbook/RMS preferable
  • Previous housekeeping/amenities cleaning experience.
  • Attention to detail when it comes to cleanliness.
  • Excellent personal presentation with a friendly disposition.
  • A willingness to carry out various tasks as required.
  • Available to be rostered over a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends (days/times will vary each week).
  • Be available for an immediate start.
  • A flexible, hands-on attitude – willing to step in and help where needed
