At Hampshire Property Group, our Holidays Business Unit operates a growing portfolio of holiday parks across Australia. It’s acquisition-active, operationally complex, and built on delivering strong commercial results through great customer experiences.
We’re looking for a General Manager of Operations who can lead from the front—partnering closely with the CEO, lifting capability across the network, and embedding systems, structure and discipline into a fast-moving business.

The Role
Reporting directly to the CEO – Holidays, you will be responsible for leading operational performance, executing the business unit strategy, and building a high-performing, connected network across all parks.
You’ll operate as the lead identity across operations, with responsibility for:
- Driving the execution of the Holidays business strategy to deliver commercial outcomes
- Leading and developing Operational Area Managers, and supporting Park Managers to maximise performance
- Embedding best practice systems, processes, and operational standards across all sites
- Lifting customer experience and revenue performance through strong operational leadership
- Partnering with shared services (HR, Finance, Marketing, Revenue, Compliance, WHS) to deliver integrated outcomes
- Reviewing cost centres and driving efficiency without compromising service standards
- Building and leveraging strategic partnerships to enhance operational capability and group value
- Leading training, capability uplift and internal development pathways across the network
- Ensuring strong communication rhythms and operational discipline across geographically dispersed teams
- Supporting acquisitions, integration, and ongoing operational optimisation
This is a highly visible, commercially accountable leadership role—requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on operational engagement.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role (GM / Head of Operations / equivalent)
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link operations to financial performance
- Experience leading multi-site, geographically dispersed teams
- A track record of driving performance, improving systems, and lifting capability
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at executive and operational levels
- High resilience, sound judgement, and a solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
- Strong reporting, analytical and decision-making capability
Bonus points for:
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, property or similarly operational industries
- Exposure to acquisition and integration environments
- Understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks (WHS, compliance, consumer law)
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management or similar
