Fast-paced. Detail-driven. Operationally embedded. Fully remote.
Are you an Accountant who thrives in high-volume, operational environments?
Do you enjoy getting into the detail, keeping things accurate, and making finance work for the front line ?
At Hampshire Property Group, our Holidays Business Unit operates a growing portfolio of holiday parks across Australia. It’s multi-site, transactional, seasonal—and always moving.
We’re looking for an Operations Accountant who can keep pace, take ownership of core finance processes, and partner effectively with park teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
About Us
Hampshire Property Group is a forward-thinking organisation that owns and operates a diverse portfolio of holiday parks and residential communities across Australia and New Zealand. With a commitment to innovation and operational excellence, our fully remote workforce thrives on
collaboration, accountability, and delivering results. We’re not a traditional finance team—we’re hands-on, commercially aware, and closely connected to operations.
The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational finance across the Holidays portfolio.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate financial records, including journals and general ledger support
- Supporting Park operations with RMS receipting, including direct credits and OT reconciliations
- Managing refund processing and ensuring integrity across booking systems
- Assisting with bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reviews
- Supporting month-end processes and meeting reporting deadlines
- Assisting with financial reporting, including month-end and year-end requirements
- Reviewing and authorising payment processing activities
- Supporting financial policy development and process improvements
- Providing analytical support to operational teams on key expense areas
This is a hands-on role with a strong operational interface—not just sitting behind spreadsheets.
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong Excel and systems capability (experience with accounting software essential)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across teams
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment
Bonus points for:
- Experience in multi-site or operational businesses (hospitality, tourism, retail, property)
- Exposure to high-volume transactional environments
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance
