Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic team in the hospitality and catering industry. This part-time role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency while supporting our chefs in food preparation. The ideal candidate will contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests by upholding high standards of hygiene and organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of food items as directed by the chefs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas
  • Wash and sanitise kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces
  • Support the chefs during service by ensuring timely availability of ingredients
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Assist with stock management and inventory control
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen manager

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred
  • Basic food safety and hygiene knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
