As a Barista at This Way Canteen, you’ll be an essential part of creating great coffee and a welcoming experience in a busy and upbeat daytime hospitality setting. You’ll take pride in crafting high-quality espresso beverages, supporting smooth service at the bar, and helping our guests enjoy great food, coffee and company from morning through lunch in our iconic CBD spot.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages to customers, ensuring high quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain and oversee coffee machine settings and perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Keep the coffee station and surrounding areas clean and organised, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in managing inventory levels of coffee beans and supplies, reporting any shortages to the supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Barista experience, preferably in a busy café or restaurant environment
• Experience in front of house roles, demonstrating strong customer service skills
• Experience overseeing coffee machine settings and maintenance
• Attention to detail in beverage preparation and presentation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively
