Summary:

Hospital Products Australia (HPA) is a leading Australian supplier of innovative medical equipment and technology solutions to hospitals and healthcare providers nationwide. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Applications Specialist with a strong focus on Anaesthetics and Operating Theatre to support our growing perioperative portfolio.

About the role

In this specialist role, you will provide high-level clinical, technical, and application support across anaesthetic workstations, theatre devices, and perioperative systems. Working closely with our Business Development, Sales, and Service teams, you will support customers through demonstrations, trials, installations, training, and post-sale clinical support.

This position is weighted toward anaesthetics, operating theatre, and perioperative workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical support for anaesthesia workstations, gas delivery systems, ventilation modes, vaporizers, and theatre-based products
  • Support operating theatres, anaesthetic rooms, PACU, and procedure suites
  • Deliver clinical demonstrations, evaluations, and equipment trials
  • Provide onsite and remote support during installations, go-lives, and early clinical use
  • Deliver education and training to anaesthetists, perioperative nurses, technicians, and biomedical staff
  • Partner with Business Development Managers to support tenders, evaluations, and customer engagement
  • Act as the clinical subject matter expert during presentations and site visits
  • Ensure compliance with HPA quality systems, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies

About you

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Clinical background in anaesthetics, perioperative nursing, theatre equipment, PACU, or critical care
  • Hands-on experience with anaesthesia delivery systems and operating theatre devices
  • Confident delivering clinical education and user training in hospital environments
  • Strong understanding of perioperative workflows and multidisciplinary theatre teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and travel as required
  • Valid Australian driver’s licence
