Legal Secretary – Commercial Property and Litigation and Dispute Resolution

Description

We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative and practice support across both the Commercial Property and Litigation and Dispute Resolution teams in our Perth office. This is a fantastic opportunity to take real ownership of your role and contribute to the smooth, efficient running of two highly successful practice groups.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage file administration, including opening/closing, filing and archiving.
  • Prepare, amend and format legal documents, contracts and leasing materials.
  • Process monthly billing accurately and comply with client‑specific billing procedures.
  • Coordinate practitioner diaries and provide general secretarial and administrative support.
  • Liaise with clients via phone and email.
  • Conduct Landgate searches and attend Landgate to lodge documents.
  • Assist with settlements, including arranging and collecting cheques and bank guarantees.
  • Perform OLC duties, including service of legal documents.
  • Work collaboratively with other Secretaries and provide occasional reception coverage.
  • Carry out additional administrative tasks as required.
  • You will be trusted to build strong relationships, anticipate needs, and look for smarter ways to support efficiency and workflow across the group.

About You

Ideally, you will bring a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a similar Legal Secretary position, preferably supporting Commercial Property and Litigation and Dispute Resolution teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy managing a varied workload where no two days are the same.
