The Opportunity
We are seeking mechanically minded, hands-on individuals to join our maintenance team.
You do not need to be a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter — if you’re confident with tools, enjoy practical problem-solving, and have experience working with machinery, engines, or equipment, this could be the job for you.
This role is vital in keeping our production equipment operating efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment. Full training and support will be provided for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on bakery plant, machinery, and equipment.
- Assist with installing, setting up, and commissioning new equipment.
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Work safely and maintain food safety and Quality Assurance standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude — experience with tools, machinery, engines, or workshop environments (e.g., mechanics, farmhands, trades assistants, maintenance workers, boilermakers).
- Enjoys hands-on problem-solving and practical work.
- Able to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Welding or machining skills are a bonus but not essential.
- Food industry experience is welcome but not required.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player.
- Willing to work a rotating 24-hour roster, including:
* One week of night shift per month
* One weekend per month
