The Opportunity
We are seeking qualified Maintenance Fitters to join our team — but we are also open to mechanically minded individuals with relevant maintenance experience.
If you have worked with machinery, engines, production equipment, or in hands-on workshop environments, and you enjoy practical problem-solving, we’d love to hear from you.
Trade-qualified applicants are highly regarded, though it is not essential. Full training and support will be provided for the right person.
This role is critical to ensuring our bakery equipment runs safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on bakery plant, machinery, and equipment
- Assist with installing, setting up, and commissioning new equipment
- Complete preventative and routine maintenance to minimise downtime
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
- Work safely and maintain food safety and Quality Assurance standards
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Fitter or strong mechanical/maintenance experience (e.g., maintenance fitters, mechanics, trades assistants, farmhands, maintenance workers, boilermakers, workshop technicians)
- Confident using tools and working with machinery or equipment
- Enjoys hands-on problem-solving
- Able to work independently and manage tasks effectively
- Welding or machining experience is beneficial but not essential
- Food manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
- Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player
- Willingness to work a rotating roster, including one weekend per month
