Hidrive is Australia’s leading manufacturer of premium service bodies, canopies and vehicle fit-out solutions for Utes, trailers and trucks. We are offering a hands-on engineering internship at our Goulburn manufacturing site focused on time & motion studies, process analysis and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for an engineering student wanting real factory-floor exposure, not just office-based project work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform process mapping and task element breakdowns
- Measure cycle times, labour content and process variation
- Support standard work, capacity planning and productivity analysis
- Identify waste, bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
- Collect accurate, repeatable data for operations and engineering teams
- Conduct time and motion studies across manufacturing departments
Essential Criteria
- Currently studying Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
- Strong analytical and observational skills
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing / factory environment
- Confident communicating with operators, supervisors and engineers
- Intermediate Excel / data analysis skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, standard work or process improvement
- Interest in manufacturing systems, operations or industrial engineering
- Prior internship, workshop or technical experience
