HHG Legal Group is expanding its Commercial practice and we are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lawyer to join our growing, award-winning firm.
This role is ideal for a commercial practitioner with 5+ years’ post-restricted practice experience who is looking for high-quality work, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in a progressive, collaborative firm.
The Role
You’ll advise private clients, family enterprises, agribusinesses and SME’s across a wide range of commercial matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts (services, supply, distribution, consultancy, agency, SaaS and related agreements)
- Advising on contract risk, liability, indemnities, warranties and termination rights
- Business and corporate structuring, governance and compliance
- Shareholder agreements, constitutions, joint ventures and partnership arrangements
- Business sales and acquisitions (mid-market), including due diligence and transaction documentation
- Regulatory and competition & consumer law advice
- Commercial dispute and risk management support (with escalation to litigation where required)
- Executive employment and contractor arrangements from a commercial perspective
- General counsel-style advisory work, supporting boards and business owners
You’ll work closely with experienced Commercial Partner and take an active role in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the broader success of the practice.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ PAE experience in general commercial law
- Proven capability managing complex commercial matters independently
- Strong technical, drafting, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management
- A proactive, solutions-focused and professional approach
- A genuine interest in contributing to firm culture and growth
