HHG Legal Group is seeking a motivated and capable Criminal Lawyer to join our team.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of criminal matters and the opportunity to take real ownership of your files, while being supported by a collaborative and driven firm.

What you’ll bring:
The successful candidate will have experience in managing criminal law matters and a willingness to take carriage of files from start to finish. This includes:
- Managing a criminal law caseload from initial instruction through to resolution
- Appearing in the Magistrates Court and assisting in higher court matters
- Providing clear, pragmatic advice to clients
- Drafting court documents, submissions, and correspondence
- Liaising with clients, counsel, prosecutors, and other stakeholders
You will also have experience across a range of criminal law matters, including:
- Assault and violence-related offences
- Drug offences (possession, trafficking, cultivation)
- Traffic and driving offences (including DUI and license disqualifications)
- Bail applications and sentencing hearings
- Restraining orders and related proceedings
- Fraud, theft, and dishonesty offences
- Police interviews, early advice, and charge negotiations
Depending on your experience, you may also be involved in more complex or indictable
matters in the District or Supreme Court.
