We’re now accepting registrations, apply today to secure your spot on the Picking Team. If you’re part of a group or a couple, each person must apply individually. However, please include a note with your application about who you’re with, and we’ll do our best to group you together during team assignments.
Vasse Felix operates four vineyards located in Busselton, Cowaramup, Margaret River, and Karridale. Most of the work will take place in Margaret River and Karridale, but you may be required to work at any of these locations.
The Details

Inductions: Expected to commence early to mid-February, with picking beginning shortly after, depending on weather conditions to ensure the fruit is harvested at its peak quality.

Duration: Approximately 20–25 days of work with occasional days off.

Hours: Morning shifts only, typically 3–6 hours starting early (around 5:45–6:15 am). Additional work may be available afterward, depending on operational requirements.

Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions with a positive attitude.

What to bring: Sturdy, enclosed footwear, suitable clothing (no singlets), hats, water bottles, and food. Water refills will be provided, and on hot days, icy poles and fruit may be supplied. All picking equipment, including snips and gloves, will be provided.

Transport: You must have your own transport to travel to each vineyard location.
Wages | Rates

Vintage Season: Base rate of $35.66/hour.

Off-Vintage: Base rate of $30.94/hour.

Piece Rate Option: If your productivity exceeds the base hourly rate when measured by the bucket, you’ll be paid the higher piece rate. The faster you pick, the more you earn.

Expectations: Hourly rates are well above the industry standard, so consistent productivity is required for continued picking opportunities.

Payment: Wages are paid fortnightly.
Accommodation
Please note that on-site accommodation is not available. You’ll need to arrange your own accommodation nearby.
