Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trade Lane Operator to join our Freight Forwarding Team. You will be responsible for handling all procedures from when the Customer places and order with their supplier, tracking the shipment and following the processes required to expedite the shipment.

Skills:

– Problem Solving Skills

– Excellent organizational and Time Management Skills

– Understanding of Trade and Procurement Options

– Clear Spoken and Written Communication

– Basic knowledge of international trade and procedures

– Knowlegde of Shipping Contracts and Rates/Quotes

– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities:

– Manage personal and allocated shared Email box/boxes and take appropriate action in timely manner, – Order Management Bookings/Tracking

– Shipment Job Creation/Tracking

– Accounts Payable & Receivable Processing

– Various Reporting of Cargoes to Government Bodies i.e. Customs.

Experience

– 2-3 years Experience working in Operations for a Freight Forwarder

– Experience in Order Management/Routing

– Previous experience in a similar role is an asset

– Experience with Cargowise would be an advantage

– Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the company
