We are seeking a motivated and reliable Store Person / Trades Assistant to join our Perth team, based at our Maddington facility. This is a full-time, hands-on role supporting store operations and workshop production requirements.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting workshop operations and ensuring materials are received, stored and dispatched in accordance with Hedweld’s quality and safety standards.

This is a diverse position suited to someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in maintaining an organised, safe and high-performing work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining security of the warehouse and store
  • Managing inventory levels and data entry within NetSuite
  • Receiving and issuing goods in line with company procedures
  • Conducting and assisting with stock takes
  • Verifying orders against invoices and shipping documentation
  • Preparing and fulfilling picking slips and customer orders
  • Coordinating internal and external freight movements
  • Ensuring goods are inspected and packaged correctly prior to dispatch
  • Operating forklift and overhead crane to move materials
  • Assisting trades personnel with workshop tasks (including some mechanical assembly)
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
  • Following safe work practices at all times

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have previous experience in a warehouse, stores or workshop environment
  • Hold a current Forklift Licence (essential)
  • Have experience operating an Overhead Crane (desirable)
  • Be confident using computer systems (experience with NetSuite advantageous)
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Show a strong commitment to safety and quality

As part of the recruitment process suitable applicants will be required to attend a Pre-Employment Medical including drug and alcohol testing
