In addition to our manufacturing operations, Hedweld operates farming enterprises at Milbrodale and Mount Thorley, NSW, managing cattle and sheep. These properties also support research and development activities for Hedweld’s agricultural division, MILBROTEC.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Farm Hand to join our team. Reporting to the Farm Manager, this is a permanent full-time position responsible for supporting the farm day-to-day operations and maintenance.

This role is suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Livestock handling and animal husbandry (cattle and sheep)
• Tractor operation and support with cropping activities
• Operation and maintenance of farm plant and equipment
• Maintenance and repair of fences, troughs, yards and farm infrastructure
• Paddock, pasture and general property maintenance
• Groundskeeping and general farm duties
• General handyman tasks as required
• Assist with accurate record keeping (electronic and manual)
• Follow directions and work collaboratively with the farm team
• Work safely and contribute to a strong Workplace Health and Safety culture

About You

• Previous livestock handling and general farming experience
• Experience operating tractors and farm machinery
• Current driver’s licence
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Willingness to learn and adopt modern farming practices
• Reliable, practical and safety focused
