Claims Assistant – Aviation & Marine

This role plays an important part in supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring the smooth delivery of claims services. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our claims processes.

Please note this is a two (2) year fixed term, full time position including paid holiday leave, public holidays etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality administrative and operational support for the Aviation and Marine claims teams.
  • Assist with the preparation, documentation, and upkeep of internal claims procedures and policies.
  • Assist with the preparation of claims reports, dashboards, and data analysis to support decision-making across the team.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate claims data in internal systems, including manual records, bordereaux processing, and loss fund tracking.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, brokers, and third-party providers.
  • Liaise with customer, clients and suppliers to enable efficient resolution of claims.
  • Supporting enhancements in processes driven by regulatory updates, industry changes, or the implementation of best practices.
  • Helping maintain strong internal and external working relationships, including coordination with third-party service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an administrative or support role within the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
  • Strong time management skills including the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a high performing team and culture.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working with third-party vendors and external partners.
  • A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Strong organisational skills, including time management and prioritisation.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to data integrity and compliance.
  • Ability to understand workflows and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
