Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Trade Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our tradespeople and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The Trade Assistant will work across all industries and will be required to have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Assist skilled tradespeople in their daily tasks, including prepping work areas, acquiring the

correct tools for the task, assisting with the tasks were necessary and helping clean up the

areas.

• Provide physical support such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials and tools.

• Help with the setup and breakdown of work sites.

• Prepare and maintain tools and equipment for use, ensuring they are in good working condition.

• Keep the work area organized, clean, and safe.

• Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools to the supervisor.

• Manage inventory of materials and supplies.

• Assist in the procurement of materials as needed.

• Load and unload materials and ensure they are stored properly.

• Follow instructions from tradespeople to complete tasks such as measuring, cutting, and

assembling.

• Operate machinery and tools as directed, under supervision.

• Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs.

• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.

• Maintain records of work performed and materials used.

• Complete basic documentation as required.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

MUST HAVE:

  • Forklift Licence & RII Operate Gantry Crane or HRWL Crane Ticket
  • Dogging ticket, Desirable.
