Duex M is a newly opened café and wine bar in Brendale, offering exceptional coffee by day and a relaxed wine bar experience by night. With a focus on quality wines, beautifully curated cheese boards, and thoughtfully prepared food, we’re creating a space that’s warm, social, and a little indulgent.
As a new venue, we’re building a place where guests can slow down, connect, and enjoy great food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere. We offer a friendly, supportive work environment and are looking for passionate people who love hospitality and want to help shape something special.
Key Responsibilities:
- Early morning food preparation (4:00am starts) for food truck breakfast and lunch service
- Prepare and execute a rotating seasonal/artisanal meu
- High-quality food presentation with strong attention to detail
- Charcuterie preparation and assembly (boards, catering boxes, deli display)
- Maintain and manage small deli stock levels and ordering
- Assist with menu development and specials
- Prepare food for catering orders and special events
- Maintain food safety standards and compliance procedures\
- Follow prep schedules and production timelines
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced, small team environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen, food truck and prep areas
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 1–2 years experience in a commercial kitchen (cook level or above preferred)
- Experience with breakfast and lunch service
- Strong knife skills and prep efficiency
- Experience working independently in early morning environments
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to manage prep volumes and maintain consistency
- Current Food Safety Certificate
- Reliable transport (due to 4:00am start times)
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in food trucks or mobile catering
- Experience with charcuterie, deli-style service or grazing boards
- Experience in small-batch/artisanal menu development
- Ordering and stock control experience
- Event or catering experience
- Experience in high-quality presentation-focused venues
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards)
- Ability to work across multiple venues within the group
