About the role

Reporting to the ​Senior Events Manager​, this role ​is responsible for assisting with the planning, administration and delivery of Club functions and events.    ​​  

Events Coordinator Duties

  • Contributing to the planning and delivery of a calendar of events in line with Club strategy​.
  • Coordinate the guest booking experience including taking bookings, sending RSVPs, corporate tickets, invitations and managing ongoing guest communications.
  • Coordinate effective administration of allocated events including producing documentation, logistics/run schedules concepts and delivering event requirements​.
  • Coordinate all MCG and Marvel Stadium corporate suites​ including catering, ticketing, floor plans and hosts.
  • Developing guest lists and associated marketing material for all events in collaboration with the events team and/or relevant departments
  • ​Assist in providing support with Salesforce to the Commercial team through product creation, bulk uploads and general assistance.

Please note this role includes attendance at match days across the AFL/W seasons, alongside evening work and travel.

Our ideal candidate

  • Backed by a tertiary qualification in events, hospitality, marketing or related field, you are a highly organised and motivated individual, with a can-do attitude. You have superior customer service skills and an ability to engage and work closely with different levels of stakeholders, always creating a positive experience. 
  • You are passionate about creating and delivering events that are on trend, using your creative flare to maximise engagement. With a strong attention to detail, you are computer and digitally savvy with experience using a CRM (ideally Salesforce).
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate with different people and stakeholders.
  • With strong time and project management skills, you have an ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced, team environment with an adaptable and flexible approach.
