About the Role:

As Halliday’s Management Accountant, you’ll report directly into the General Manager and have strong ties with the broader Hardie Grant Finance Director and team. You will work to drive process innovation and timely reporting on a part-time (3 days per week) basis. You’ll be completing monthly management accounts and finance operational processes in the day-to-day, as well as collaborating and advising in order to improve our financial operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, management reports and commentary

• Supporting business leaders with insights and financial process guidance

• Prepare and lodge BAS returns as required

• Prepare annual income tax schedules for HGX

• Act as a main point of contact with external auditors and respond to audit queries

• Ad hoc accounting and tax assistance as required

• Prepare annual budgets and rolling/quarterly forecasts for HGX

• Support process improvements and contribute to financial governance compliance

• Throughout key relationships and interactions use influence to ensure actions are mindful and make a positive impact on critical social and public issues – such as sustainability, accessibility and inclusion.

Who We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will have strong analytical, time management, organisational, and communication skills and a proactive and positive approach to solving problems independently.

In addition, you will have:

• A Degree qualification in accounting/commerce (or similar)

• 3 years of relevant experience (Tax, Audit or Management Accountant)

• Working towards, or completed, CA or CPA accreditation

• Well-developed Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills; and

• Experience using Sage Intacct, Chargebee, and HubSpot will be highly regarded

• A proven ‘go-getter’ attitude, and someone who likes to ‘see it and sort it’ when problems arise, whether that be through small innovations or larger projects.

This is a part-time, permanent opportunity to join the energetic and innovative team behind Australia’s number 1 wine platform. The salary for this role is in the range of $90,000 – $100,000 + super pro rata.
