THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity exists for reliable, experienced Weighbridge administrator to become an integral part of our team at our Kulpara Quarry. To be successful in this role you will have an uncompromising commitment to safety, enjoy working in a small team, be flexible and approachable and feel pride in doing a good job.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate the weighbridge and accurately record weights of incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Scheduling of 5 – 10+ trucks per day
- Direct traffic entering and leaving the quarry, ensuring efficient flow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Check and verify the paperwork of drivers and vehicles to ensure compliance with site regulations.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and site personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including weight tickets, delivery notes, and other relevant documentation.
- Report any issues, discrepancies, or safety concerns to the Quarry Manager promptly.
- Handle Cash, EFTPOS, and Credit Card sales
- Assist with general administrative duties as required, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Adhere to all Hallett health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES
- A current Driver’s License
- Experience in admin/weighbridge operations
- Understanding of relevant chain of responsibility (COR) (desirable)
- Understanding of HR & MC Vehicle configurations (desirable)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills (ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure).
- Strong work ethic, reliable and a positive can-do attitude
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Genuine commitment to safety by consistently displaying behaviours aligned with safe work practices
