About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team within our Winnellie workshop. This role reports directly to our Workshop Manager, and as one of the mechanics within our organisation, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and repairing fixed plant, mobile plant and road transport equipment. This will include concrete agitator trucks, transport fleet, block plant equipment, wet mix concrete plant, and other associated equipment.
With the position primarily based out of our Winnellie workshop, you will be required to travel to site for breakdowns and potentially fill in at the Quarry in Mount Bundey. You will also be part of the on-call roster.
What We Are Looking For
- Current and valid NT Drivers Licence (MC will be highly regarded)
- Trade qualification – Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Previous experience in a similar role particularly with heavy vehicle experience
- Reliable, punctual and safety focused
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to obtain a police clearance for the purposes of a DCAC for defence sites
- The willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screening)
