Warehouse Team Leader

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse workers, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage a team of warehouse workers, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Ensure that all warehouse operations are completed in a timely and efficient manner, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that all products are properly labeled and stored
  • Maintain effective stock rotation procedures to reduce wastage and obsolescence
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the warehouse is kept clean and organised
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Communicate regularly with management to provide updates on warehouse operations and identify any issues or concerns

Qualifications:

  • Formal warehouse/logistics qualifications with experience in complex warehouse environments preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management or a related field
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory management best practices
  • Strong understanding of WH&S, quality assurance, and environmental regulations
  • Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems, preferably Infor M3
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
