ABOUT US

For over four decades, Hakka has been a trusted name in the Australian Grocery and Food Service industry, earning a reputation for excellence in FMCG. As the business enters a significant phase of growth and change, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and shape our people strategy.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a senior leadership role for a commercially astute, confident and hands on HR professional who can drive organisational design, workforce strategy, and succession planning to support long term growth.

THE ROLE

As HR Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the people agenda during a period of transformation.

You will:

  • Lead organisational design and workforce planning to align structure with business strategy
  • Working with the CEO, develop and execute a clear people strategy that supports growth, capability uplift and operational excellence
  • Design and implement succession planning frameworks to build leadership depth and future readiness
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive strategic change initiatives
  • Lead end to end HR operations (employee relations, performance management and complex workforce matters etc) and provide expert HR advisory support
  • Drive engagement, cultural alignment and leadership capability within a multicultural workforce
  • Establish robust learning and development frameworks that strengthen capability across the organisation
  • Oversee workers compensation claim management.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements and WHS obligations

ABOUT YOU

You are a confident and resilient HR leader who thrives in evolving environments and is comfortable influencing at executive level.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in organisational design, change management, transformation and strategic workforce planning
  • Strong capability in succession planning and leadership development
  • Demonstrated experience leading people strategy during periods of change
  • 5+ years experience in a senior HR role within manufacturing or a similar operational environment
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is highly regarded
  • High cultural intelligence with experience working with a predominantly Asian workforce
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, management or a related field
